First, you should know that it's a 4-day weekend here, with most people getting "good Friday" and "Easter Monday" off work.
On Easter G, M, and I went swimming at Edith Falls. Since it's beautiful and easy to get to, a lot of other people were there, too. G said, "Isn't it funny how when you go somewhere to look at inanimate things, like an art gallery or nature, you spend half your time just watching the people?"
On Monday we got up uncharacteristically early (for some) and went up to the gorge to swim under the waterfall at southern rockhole. This included R, M, G, F, and Justin and me. F had a troopie that held us all. It was just as beautiful as the last time, and having gone up early, we got home with plenty o' time left in the day. A search for pizza that night was difficult, since so many places were closed for the holiday. Fortunately, the third pizza joint (of three possible) was open and R, J, Justin and I had a pleasant evening sitting outside.
Somewhere in there, I think Friday, some of us tried the Barra Cafe. It's attached to a servo (service station), has great murals on all the walls, and had sambos (sandwiches) and burgers with names like "River Queen". It turned out to be quite good food and we were all excited to have had such a delightful dining experience in Katherine.

put that ...
