well done miss....as usual!
In the past I have used a metal bottom pan(made from flashing painted black)and raised the pot on something. This time I've even made some attractive spiral cardboard trivets, but am not sure about getting flashing. I don't have any tools to cut or bend it. I made a foiled cardboard "pan" which I will paint black if I find nontoxic paint. However, I was thinking of putting a piece of black cloth in the bottom (on the foiled "pan") instead/meanwhile.
Do you have any experience with using cloth? In Chico, I sometimes put a piece of black cloth around a clear glass jar, but I wasn't sure that it was really helping.
What do you think?
